I have always dreamed of hiking the CDT since I began backpacking. Soon after Ashley and I began dating, I told her about the CDT and she has since shared my passion for a CDT thruhike.
Ashley and I have spent much of our time together in the outdoors. We met in 2006 as crewmembers on the Student Conservation Association's Yuha Desert Restoration Corps crew. We spent nine months working, living, and camping together in southern California. We continued our careers with the SCA as high school crew leaders during the summer of 2007 and as a members of a trail crew in Alaska later in the fall.
After working with the SCA, Ashley began a job at Innisfree Village, a community for adults with mental impairments. Meanwhile I continued working trail jobs.
